. . . on that youthful night, a little sprite was born . . .
So my "big sister," Princess, calls me a sprite of creation, and she wrote me a poem and got me a necklace with a sprite in a heart, and . . . yeah. So I drew my spritely self for her Christmas present. This is one of two pictures. Uh.
She's not crying; that's exciting face-paint. She's not miserable, just thoughtful, stricken with yet another story.
Sketches in pencil, colored digitally. Danged categories. (Who, me, censoring my own language?) Still in traditional, since I'm so sketch-heavy. -__- I rely on lineart a lot. But at least I've found myself a style.
Ooo, that's really pretty. I really like the effect of the wings; all the colors and feathery lines. ^_^

I didn't think she was sad Very well done, though the eyes could do a little redo. I know how it is though once you do it and everything turns out well enough.

Nice!
I love your style. It's great because it allows to center in the meaning and the spirit behind the draw. It kind of reaches the Platonician "world of idea".
About this particular piece of art I would like to say that the snowflakes and the wings' glow are very pretty. And to me she doesn't appear sad but rather cold, wich wouldn't be surprising with that little top in the midst of winter.
Keep the good work!

Thank you very much!
Oooh, Plato. Interesting man . . .
Hmm, that's interesting -- I didn't mean the sparkly bits to be snowflakes, but I can see how you'd see that. I was probably affected without knowing, since it's been cold here. Eee winter. *shiver*
She does kinda look cold. That's my favorite way to stand.
Thanks.

There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

The blue isn't the eyes . . . it's face-paint. Her eyes are closed. Or did you mean that?
